Any Ole Miss people hanging out in here, I just want to say that was a game well played. I guessed correctly what your offense would do against LSU by I VASTLY underestimated your defense. Assuming we beat Arkansas, yall deserve a damn good bowl ahead of Tennessee and Florida so good luck.
Seconds to that. The entire offense struggled with dropped passes and badly thrown balls and protection, but a significant part of that goes strictly to the credit of the OM defense. Those guys were animals - they were psyched and fired up (as much as our defense was), and they were flying all over the field, making gang tackles, and providing great coverage. They broke up screens, shut down misdirections...great job. Certainly the best defense we've played against all year, I thought. A great game. Good job Rebs.
I know people will focus on this game for Ely Manning and for the rest of time they will be saying what if. I thought it was a hard fought game and no doubt in my mind the better team won. I dont think you could have said that if Ole Miss had won. I think this will go down as one of LSU defense best games ever. If you re-watch the game they came up with big stop after big stop. This is a team and we win and lose as a team. If the offense doesnt have one of their best games. Then the defense and special teams lift them up. The offense has had some good games needed as well. In the SEC a win on the road is a great win anytime. Welcome to big time college football Tigers. To stay at this level you have to prove your worth every time you step on the field. Teams are always up for you and you have to find a way to win every week. Thats what Oklahoma did at Alabama. Winning year in and year out builds respect and gets the pollsters remembering your name. I am not dissapointed in our rating . I think if we can keep winning the rest will take care of itself. Maybe that is naive but thats how i feel. USC can still lose to Oregon State and God forbid we could be beaten by the Hogs. I dont think that will happen but on any given day you know what can . The Tigers have made this a very special season so far and i have to feel that maybe God is smiling on us. Dont ever give up and keep playing with the heart and dedication and i gotta believe that the man upstaire will watch over us.
