Well we had a mediocore night of kicking. What's up with our kicking game?? I thought Jackson was really coming around especially after the Arkansas game.

Any thoughts on who is gonna be the kicker at the Sugar Bowl?

Well, I wouldn't blame Jackson 100%, he was kicking off of Field turf. I don't know if we have that in the indoor practice facility in Baton Rouge, but I've heard that it is hell to kick off of.

His "towards" may have been off because of that. I think he'll pull through a bad game and get back on track. If not, just put Gaudet in there to boot 'em through.

Both of these kickers are freshmen. They will get better and better. Everything considered, they've done all right this year.

Yeah, I think the first miss was mostly just nerves. Everyone was pumped up big time. I didn't think about that new turf but that could make a difference.

I kicked in High School and had the "privilege" of kicking on astroturf quite a few times. There is definitely a difference. I would have no idea what that newest turf is like. I'm sure it's enough to screw with your kicks though.

Field Turf is thick. It's a lot like long grass, except it doesn't move like grass. I got $100 that says Jackson had problems with that, getting his elevation off of that turf.

He's a good kicker, so is Gaudet. LSU is lucky to have them. I might get yelled at here, but they are better than Wide Ritchey!
