A UK fan on their win in Tiger Stadium in 1998. I thank God above for not having to refer to a road win over a 4-7 team, nearly 5 years ago as a crowning moment in LSU football.

True, although many have praised the 2000 win over a 3-8 Alabama team by 2 points, a win which ended the long, long, long (31 year) dry spell against the Tide in Tiger Stadium, as a big moment in LSU football.

Ok..."pure effort"? Wasn't it pure effort for Randall to hurl that pass? Wasn't it effort that kept Henderson's eyes focused on that ball? Wasn't it effort that kept his hands steady to reel in the catch? Then, wasn't it effort that kept him aware of the two Kentucky defenders trying to stop him at the ten yard line?

That play deserved to win because it would be the hardest of the bunch to recreate. LeBron can do another under-the-leg dunk (if all the money in his pockets don't drag him down). Vick's run was not something I'd never seen before. The 360 dunk was nothing compared to what Michael Jordan used to do. And Bonds...hey, you've seen one homer from him and you've seen them all.

But the main reason I'm thrilled for Henderson to win it (other than the obvious obsession with LSU athletics) is because it's a college highlight vs. professional highlights.

Once you become a pro--all those things, Vick's scramble, Bonds' HR--they're all expected of you....After all, isn't that what Vick and Bonds are paid to do???

I understand their pain, I am still crying over the Arkansas game...

Same thing happened to us, however their QB had complete 2 passes the entire game until then.

I voted for you, and was happy to see the SEC team win . . .but you think those plays upset UK and LSU fans?

If neither of those last second plays had happend . .OR UGA hadn't gotten thier 4th and 15 miracle . . .we could have played in the SECCCG . . .

so frustrating to think about .

    congrats on the ESPY

True, but we were playing for the same thing. If somebody, anybody, had knocked down either one of the two consecutive hail mary prayers that won the game for Arkansas, we would have been in the SECCG, as well.

....is it August yet? Im getting the shakes.
