Just heard on a radio show here in Moblile that Kenny Hollis is possibly backing out of his commitment and is taking a visit to Bama this weekend. Anyone else heard about this, or is this some dream that Bama fans have been having.
Hard to believe that an objective person, with two years to play, would go to a team that will be on probation for two years. Neither does it make sense that a team, with limited scholarships over the next couple of years, would sign a player with only two years of eligibility.
He hasn't de-committed to my knowledge. He's likely just taking visits to Alabama to be polite to the home folks.
what a horrible match a JUCO player and Alabama are: 1) the JUCO player is definitely out of the post season this year - and may get a lower lever bowl the next just because of sanctions. 2) Meanwhile bama gets a player who will graduate just when they need senior leadership the most. They will have reduced schollies and I can't imagine they want a young team in which few are on schollies. This is the act of a desperate man (price).
One thing I have heard is that they are loaded with LB's already which is good. If he does go does this bring Demarcus Scott back into the picture?
Actually the Tide Boards are reporting just the exact opposite. "Hollis, reconfirms his commitment to LSU" http://www.tidefans.com/ubb/Forum6/HTML/033240.html
Insiders HotNews has him saying it was a good visit but he's still a tiger. Bama was too little to late!
