He represented LSU very well with a Tiger hat and spoke well of the team and LSU's alumni and fans.

He is a class act and an underrated NFL reciever.

He's had a long career for an NFL receiver. Somebody is certainly giving him some respect.

Lets not forget he was one of the members of the LSU team that beat Nick Saban's
Michigan State in the Indy bowl.
NS is 0-1 playing against LSU and I'm betting it will be 0-2 after Nov 3rd!

The "Duece" he was great at LSU.

Remember that punt return where it went from
"What are you doing !!!!!" to
    "RUN RUN RUN""""

Didn't he quit in the middle of a season at Denver and then ask to come back? I also remember some type of police altercation at a club in North Baton Rouge.

He did have one hell of a punt return my freshman year. It was in 94 but I don't recall the opponent.

I am so glad for this post because I am a huge Eddie Kennison fan. Yes, I do remember him quitting the Broncos, but that was NOT in the middle of the year. That was the preseason. If you go look at a history of his career, (NFL.com) you won't even see the Broncos listed as one of the teams he played for. I don't remember what the situation was in Denver, but I do know Eddie is 33 years old and an eleven year NFL veteran who is STILL his teams top WR.
Now I'm not going to campare him to Marvin Harrison or any of the Hall of Fame wide receivers who played during Kennison's career, but I do think Kennison is one of the most underrated WRs to play in the last ten years.

This is a guy who in his 11th year in the NFL is still his teams top WR. Just because Eddie was drafted in the first round, (although it was the LATE first round), it doesn't mean he has to have a Hall of Fame career to be considered a success. Just look at all the early first round picks who have done nothing in the NFL.
Eddie has been a consistent and productive WR in the NFL for 11 years.

It wasn't in the preseason when he quit the Broncos, it was the middle of November on a Saturday night before a Sunday game. Here's a link to an article from NFL.com

Well, when he quit the Broncos doesn't make a difference to the point I am trying to make. Even after quitting the Broncos and Shanahan saying he didn't know if Kennison would ever play for another NFL team, Eddie has played five more years and been the teams top WR all five years.
Most people would consider him a bust of a first round pick, yet he has played for 11 years and has over 8000 yards receiving with 45 TD's.

No problem. Although he plays for an AFC West rival I'm still an Eddie fan. And you're correct, he's had a solid NFL career. Don't know if his departure was related to off the field problems or problems with Shanahan, but he's rebounded nicely. They've got a shot to beat Indy this weekend.
