1. Maybe he already has them selected, it's just a matter of them playing their bowl games.
  2. ..
    Maybe, I hope so.
  3. We're preparing for a Bowl game too. :p
  4. Pretty well documented that the defense changed completely after the Ole Miss game, when O finally quit meddling. Again, 299 yard average over that stretch. Only 6 teams had an average under 300 yards this year. Held the #6 offense in the country (Alabama) to almost 200 yard below their average, the fewest yards anyone allowed to them all year.
  5. And in one of those games we lost, we allowed 16 points including overtime.
  6. I don't know about blitz on every down but tackling, oh man, I've complained about this for years and its across cfb. I just don't get it! Since when did coaches start telling people "just run into them and hopefully they fall down". Yeah it seems like hyperbole but watch a game, any game and count how many times you say "why didn't he wrap him up"?
  7. Yes, Daronte discovered he could blitz most every down. I agree that O meddled a lot. I think we can do better though the #62 Total Defense in the country. We stopped Bama's running game, but Mr. Heisman won the game for Bama.

  8. That's why I hope we get a good DC who teaches how to wrap up while tackling. Still remember Michae Brooks & Eric Hill.
  9. Not much emphasis on fundementals these days. Players prefer attempts at arm tackling rather than laying the lumber on the runner/receiver with their shoulders.

  10. I think they are being taught to not hit too hard, fearing a targeting call. That & the flailing arm tackles.
