I shouldn't even have to point out that either side would jump on such a faux pas one week before the election. Unless Bush beat the crap out of Kerry with a baseball bat or something, the analogy makes no sense. Olberman has an agenda (as does 90% of the national media) so his remarks are to be taken with a grain of salt. Whether Kerry botched a joke or not (and honestly, not even he is stupid enough to intentionally insult or malign soldiers at war) he put his foot in his mouth and is now paying the price. If he would talk about what he can do for this country rather than try to be a bad ass and pound on a lame duck president, he would be much better off. The best thing about all of this is that we are rid of that smug SOB forever. Now, let's get Hillary a stand-up gig.
Kerry is the Les Miles of politics, he's a horrible public speaker. Hillary isn't electable because women won't vote for another woman. But she's a lot smarter and more articulate than Kerry, she won't self-destruct. I still think she throws her support to another candidate, who will really owe her one if he gets elected. The Democrats will probably fall one seat short of taking the senate tomorrow, but may take it easily in 2008. Hillary's best shot at power is to be a Russell Long-like playmaker in a Democratic Senate. She wants to whip Teddy's ass to be the bull senator on the Hill. That is something I think she could pull off.
Not after a Democrat controlled House manages to f*ck everything up in 2 short years. After 2 years of Pelosi and Ted Kennedy in our faces, even Michael Moore is going to vote GOP.:hihi:
hannity, colmes, limbaugh, olberman. people watch/listen to these dudes? (the typical response to this is that the daily show is "more news than the real news", which i think is the most annoying meme of the last 5 years.)
I enjoy listening to Limbaugh, because his analysis is usually pretty dead-on and his arguments always have a large chunk of good logic to them. He has always been very up front that he is just an entertainer, and not a journalist or politician.
