Les and Jimbo need to nix this "let's keep everybody happy" nonsense. Keiland Williams is clearly the Tigers' best runner. Start him, give it to him, ride him, and leave JVincent and Ally B on the bench! :helmet:
why are the running backs for LSU awesome when they are younger and become crap after about 2 years. This year Scott and Williams are our younger RB's but will they be the same 2 years from now? I always believed that if either Vincent or Broussard kept up their work they were doing when they were younger could have been heisman candidates. I know they got injured but what happend to these backs? ie: Alley Broussard, Justin Vincent They weren't the backs they used to be
Just pick a horse and ride it, playing 5 or 6 backs a game stops any of them from getting in a groove. Right now it looks like Keiland is the man let him run it, spelling him every now and then but your #1 back should not be spending long stretches on the bench while your 5th and 6th back get a handful of plays.
Their injuries were quite debilitating. Broussards knee got infected after his surgery and had to have a 2nd surgery. They both put on some weight and are not back to 100%. I don't know if Miles is just trying to honor their dedication and injuries or he's seeing something in practice. I agree, we need the younger and fleeter of foot in there running the ball.
the problem with the running game isnt the RBs or the Line (though they could play better), its the playcalling.. this tight trips bullsh*t sucks, and so does that slow, delayed hand off play...
i agree entirely, and have been waiting for williams all season. broussard just doesnt look like he used to, vincent lloks like a totally different and much worse player. i do not like all the carries given to hester either, his ceiling is too low.
