My throat is sore from saying JV is the same back he's always been..a .05 second slower, but more durable..no big difference. He just wasn't getting the carries. Seems like Addai is banged up, everyone is going to get to see...he's averaging more ypc than Addai this year (not that he's better than Joe..he's where he belongs, but he didn't 'lose it').

Vincent was crucial in this win....it was obvious Addai was not 100 %....so Vincent had to fill in....and he did a more than admirable job

good to see he contributed in such a huge Tiger victory

still ain't the same Vincent as 2003, but he is getting better and better towards that end

he is the same back he just needs the carries. JV gets better with the more carries he gets. he will continue to improve.

Just wonder if he will again rise and shine when it comes time to Bowl games?

Good running backs are like sports cars, give them a little gas (carries) and they just go. Park them in the garage for a long time, and they may have trouble getting started.

I agree with that. It's even more pertinent with JV..he has always been (even in 03) a 1yd, 3,yd, 5yd, 3yd, 25yd back. He needs reps and lots of em to put up #s. He still leads the team in ypc (haven't recalculated after 2nites game, but Bama has a helluva D).

And what about those catches out of the backfield. He got spooked one time and dropped it but the others were money.

so why do i keep hearing that we do not have depth at the running back position??? are those people insane? for the past couple of years i think that we were always stacked at the running back position
