They missed a couple of TDs right before the half. I'm sure that they were on the sideline at the time.

    Band in Tiger Stadium

Having been a member of Tiger Band, I pay attention to where each schoool's band sits. Tiger Band has great seats to watch the game compared to some schools, but their sound doesn't carry to the microphones. As a comparison, watch the Florida game tommorrow. Their band sits under the goalposts and you will be able to hear them a lot more. (Florida's band used to sit on the 50 high above the visitor bench--talk about getting robbed in the move. )

I can usually hear Tiger Band better on road games since they are usually sitting across from the field mics. I expect they will be loud in the Ga Dome. And even if they aren't picked up on TV, we still know they are the best!

The wind had a lot to do with the sound. My seats are almost directly straight across from the band and so I usually get everything the band does full blast -- but yesterday there were times it sounded like the band was playing in a barrell. Same for the crowd noise. That was the hardest sustained wind I ever remember experiencing in Tiger Stadium. I am assuming you were watching on TV and I have heard several complaints about CBS not having very good field miking as well.
