Hey Auburn fans, Most schools only have 1 mascot. Auburn has 2. Just which mascot is it anyway and why have 2? Its confusing, you here tigers here and war eagle there. Seriously, I've seen Eagles in Alaska, been to the zoo, saw tigers there too. But, yet to ever see a "war eagle" Maybe its because Auburn plays like a tiger one week and a "bird" the next? Actually this message is done in a little bit of lite humor so don't get too offended. God, Its only Monday, Can't wait til Saturday!!! Geaux Tigers..... "Defend the Homeland" --------------Earthquake Game 2------------------ Where will u be? Sat Oct 25 03?
It's stupid. Why not War Tiger. And that wasn't a Tiger flying thru the stadium during pregame (before you killed him). You can call it a battle cry but the rest of the free world will call it a mascot. And what is the deal with the Plainsmen?Stupid stupid stupid.
Well the "War Eagle" dates back to the Civil War. I am not sure about the specifics but I think it had to do with an eagle circling a battlefield. And also I think this falls under the mascot is War Eagle and Nickname is Tigers. Kind of like Tennessee, they are the Vols and their mascot is Smokey the Hound. You dont see a guy looking like Davey Crockett running around.
I find it kinda odd how Auburn fans somehow think that last year's score has ANYTHING to do with the game this weekend...
