. --Mike Williams, USC Sophomore wide receiver FLORIDA--Offensive lineman Shannon Snell. --FLORIDA cornerback and SEC Defensive Player of the Year Keiwan Ratliff Two things I take with me in my life on a daily basis...Number one is a quote that I first heard from Shaquille O'Neal when he was named league MVP...It's from Aristotle... "You are what you repeatedly do." The other thing is that perception is reality. It does not matter if you think you are a good person. How you are perceived, and thusly, what the world around you would say about you is reality. It's all in how you are perceived... I would submit to you...By reading these quotes...answer these two questions... How would you perceive Mike Williams? Think about that, and then answer this question... How does it seem that LSU's team is perceived? I think I know what the reality of the situation is...do you?
This post might also be titled, "The differences between USC and UF." Mike Williams is a little punk.
My point is, in a way...to help illustrate how "perception is reality"... Mike Williams aspires to be a great player and play on a great team... LSU-by their own peer's standards-already are on that level... By reading Williams quotes, you can easily discern that while he aspires to be talented and may very well be, his concept of self respect, team, and sportsmanship are totall lacking...and thereby, lessens him as a player... People have to go on what others say about you, or what you say about yourself, in order to form an opinion... The two examples illustrate perfectly just what kind of an opinion you should have when it comes to the two teams. When a team will allow that kind of brash disrespectful outburst and condone it by not rebuking or refuting it, it's a direct reflection on the players around him, the leaders of the team, the staff, and the program as a whole... When a team is spoken about in the light that Florida's players speak about...it reflects on LSU...Just in an entirely different manner...
