The choice is clear... Even an objective observer will agree that when it comes to Economic Development, Blanco was blown out of the water tonight... When asked which authors and principles most guided her in her time as a PSC Commissioner, a legislator, and a Lt. Governor. She had no real response, other than to say she had, "read the studies, read the reports, and it was a 'part of her being' because she 'knew Louisiana'." Jindal went on to mention specific professors and alumni of the Harvard School of Business and quote specific principles and theories regarding economic development, business models, and business plans... She's just not ready to handle the state...and at 60, she obviously won't ever be... Jindal, on the other hand, spent more time on the issues, rather than attacking Jindal and Mike Foster, as Blanco did... He was even open to changing the way Louisiana allows local authorities to create local taxes so that local projects could be expedited and put on a fast track. Blanco demured and offered up the vertigo induced answer that, "I favor this change coming Constitutionally." In other words, I don't want to fight the Legislature to rid it of the slush funds...I'd rather let the people vote for it so I won't have to be the bad guy in the eyes' of the Legislature. She's a carbon copy of the same poilticians that have run for the office for centuries now... Jindal is different, and we need someone different in the office...
