1. Ole Myth has SEC Western Div. Champions 03' painted on their poor excuse for a stadium. Seems to me that we swept the West that year. This is sad. They are also claiming 3 Nat. Championships.

Another point of interest. They have a scene from an Ole Piss and LSU game on the side of their equipment truck. I'm sure it is from a game that they lost.
  2. I think they are talking about Volleyball or soccer. They just painted it there for dramatic effect.
  3. whoa whoa whoa.... I seem to recall LSU BEATING Ole Miss that year...

Ohhhhh I get it... Coach Orgeron has implemented the USC mindset...

"Even If we don't win it, we'll still claim it"

Gotcha. Now I Hate Ole Miss Even more...:eek:lefire:
  4. They might be talking about tiddly winks, or underwater marble stacking:lol:

    :geauxtige :geauxtige
  5. Technically they "shared" the west with us that year as we both only had one conf. loss. We went to Atlanta because we beat them and held the tie breaker. The same will be true this year. If we beat the Hogs and go to Atlanta, Auburn will still be able to claim they are co-champs of the west.
I'm not saying I agree, but that's the way it works.
  6. To me, it's still 'cheap' to claim it. If they'd have won the west, they'd have been in Atlanta. I guess when accomplishments are few and far between, you do things like that to make yourself feel better.

True, but remember - Alabama started this trend a long time ago.
  7. Me too. This really irritates me. We could claim 2002 if we wanted to, but that crap is meaningless to me.
  8. Oh but they have it painted like this:

    "SEC Western Division Champions 2003"

    No co-champions, etc etc.

    Their NC's were in 59, 60, & 62 according to them..

  9. At the end of the Season I am going to call The Ole Miss Athletic Department and tel them that I am a representative of the Ch0sn0ne National College Football Championship Poll, and let them Know that Our organization has voted it a tie between them and Alabama for the 2005 College Football Champions. I will mail them one of my old pee wee football trophies and print out a certificate on my old green screen computer and dot matrix printer just to make it official.

So two years from now when you guys see it painted on the wall up there you know where it is coming from.

By the way, I am not even gonna bother to call Bama. They will get wind of it from Ole Miss and add this year to their long list of bullsh*t Titles. It will be painted on their wall of champions as well.
  10. There is a post today on the Auburn board where a guy is bragging about Auburn being West Division Champion or Co-Champion for 5 of the last 6 years. Of course, they've only gone to the SEECG twice in that time.

2- and 3-way ties for "Division Championships" happen all of the time. All that matters is beating the other two and going to the SEC title game. A Division Co-Championship is meaningless unless you go to the championship game.
