This article caught my attn. with the thread batgirl had started on them. I hadn't heard of this movement and was curious what everyone felt about it.

The second link is just to show the concern is being addressed.

Can't.......say.......nooooo...... The cookies call my name.......must have cookie.

Thanks for starting this thread. After reading your post I started craving Tagalongs and shoved half a box down my piehole. I will be sending you my medical bills from my trans fat exposure;)

I can't wait for the Girl Scouts to go out in front of the Union. I have a hankering for some Samoas, God's cookie gift to earth.

they don't have transfat. And it's a good thing, since we bought six boxes of them today.

I like the Samoans (aka some other new stupid name for them now) and limit myself to 4 in one sitting. And no, I haven't figured out a rule as to how frequently I can have sittings. But if I'm drinking beer, I lose all interest in cookies.

What are trans fats? Are they bad? I'm pretty sure I've been ingesting them for nearly 58 years.

I once deep fried a pork roast in the rendering from a batch of cracklins? Would that contain trans fats?

whats odd is ive been sick the last few days and i just got my appetite back. the only thing ive eaten in the past few days are those damn mint cookies. ive lost 5 lbs. trust me, they taste way better than a salad. which reminds me, instead of cheese i may grind up some thin mints on my salad next time... the govt it trying to screw with your brains. say yes to the cookies! :yelwink2:
