It wasn't the whole game, it was when they had to make plays. When MSU wasn't trying to be cute, the were very effective running the ball. You can pick out very small points, but I have yet to see you disagree with the overall point...Saban did not lsoe the game and is not a bad coach. He is making progress, and wins and losses dont always show it. Honestly, what do you think Les Miles record would be?
it seems like you are the one picking out small points, talking about specific plays where I am talking about the game as a whole. but apparently you didn't read some of my posts in the thread. I think Nick is a real good coach. One of the best (sound familiar. it was in one of my earlier posts). I just was always a fan of Shula. I think Saban has a horrible offensive coordinator, which is his fault, b/c he hired him, but outside of that, I think he's a real good coach. I just think Bama ran off a pretty good coach, too.
What have I ever said about Miles? I don't understand your generalities as a response to what has been said. I like Miles... I think he is a good coach, but Saban is our coach and I will stand behind him until he gives me a reason not to. Today is not a reason to not like him. If you watched the game, you would know it was JP and the offense not capitalizing and throwing ducks to MSU's defenders.
So let me get this straight. If Saban loses to Auburn then and only then the loss to Miss St will mean something. Gotta love you justifiers. If Bama were one and 11 and we beat Auburn Saban would be considered a great coach. LOL Can you say Next year !!! I am sure Bama will be better next year because you see we have Saban I dont care how great a coach you are you have got to have players. Smoke and mirrors only get you so far. Saban is a good recruiter and that is what makes him successful because he knows you win with talent. And you win Championships with talent and coaching. What you should be hoping for is he stays around long enough to coach the talent he brings in. Notre Dame will be opening up soon.
Fact: Bama has more talent than State at this point. Fact: Saban the Great couldn't get his team 'up' to play this game. Blame certain players, certain units, or whatever you want. But the bottom line is, we beat Bama up last week, and their coach just couldn't get them ready for this week's outing. You can't give him the credit when they win, then not blame him when they lose. Saban lost this game. Period.
