Me and my friend were talking on the phone and he commented on the fact that for some reason he is more pumped up then he was at the preseason of last year.

May suggestion was that with winning the National Championship it was such an overload to the system that is was hard to be able to get back up emotionaly after the joy we all shared.

I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed that they might be more pumped up for this season then they were last season.

I am more excited about this year than I was last year, also. Though, I think it has more to do with the fact that after the 2003 season, the only direction we had to go was down. Also, we lost our QB and had to rely on Marcus Randall, and I never felt good about that. This year, our offense projects to be much more dynamic, much more efficient, and much more effective...and thats reason for excitement. Defensively, we always lose some key contributors and plug in guys just as good or better, so Im not worried about that side.

I also has a lot to do with the Home slate this year....last year our biggest 3 home games were OSU, Bama, & Ole Miss. Thats not too much to get pumped up about. This years home schedule is out of this world. THATS WHY I'M PUMPED!!

Well, IMO, following the :crystal: season, and yet ANOTHER offseason of rumors that we would/could lose our coach, it was an emotional situation year-round.

Now, with a coach that, even though he hasn't coached his first game yet, everything that he's done, up to this point, has been "A+ efforts" and "A+ outcomes" so far. From landing the #1 recruit on signing day, to hiring a staff that is being considered to be superior to that of Saban's, and now making HUGE waves in recruiting while watching him being so active in the community and watching him embrace Louisiana, the culture, etc., knowing he's not going anywhere anytime soon. That spells "comfort" in my book.

So, finally, I'm able to enter a season with literally no worries!

I'm more jacked at this point and time than I was last year. It's tough to repeat the success we had in the 2003 season. All the ingredients are in the pot for a hell of a season. We've got more talent and depth on this years squad than I can remember and I've been following Tiger football for a lot of years. If JR plays up to his potential I think we're in for a hell of a ride this season.

Also, I think that we have the ability to be an even better team than 2003. We had a lot of luck in '03 (first georgia game, getttin into the BCS number 2 slot.) I think this years team will flat out be dominant! We definately have the talent and the intensity on the coaching-side. Believe me, that coaching-intensity really does help. I just think that this year the team is probably going to go down as the most DOMINATING LSU team EVER. The ****ty thing is that we might not even get to play for a NC.

Not to mention, since 2000, LSU football. has had good luck with odd-numbered years.
