This little rumor is floating around:

    http://www.benmaller.com/archives/2007/january/22#129748

If Vick goes to Oakland for Randy Moss, Jerry Porter and Oakland's #1 overall draft pick, Atlanta would probably trade their newly acquired #1 overall pick b/c they already have Matt Shaub. Who knows where JR would end up.

I hope JR goes somewhere where he can do well. He deserves it.

the browns are dying for russell...

they dont have much to offer in a trade in terms of players, but they will give up a lot of picks for him, b/c the GM is a Mobile guy and has been following JR since he was in 10th grade.... literally...

I woudln't mind that. I really want JR to have the distinction of being the #1 pick because it helps LSU out as well but Oakland is not a promising situation. I guess that is where they want to send all players with problems now, first Moss now Vick. T.O. better get ready to pick up his phone

I would rather JR go to Cleveland than Oakland. First of all, Cleveland has a better O-Line, a better coach (Oakland has no coach), and better fans. Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow. Both good, young receivers. They also have a good veteran reciever in Joe Jurevicious. I think Cleveland would be good for JR.

No, but throw in Atlanta's #10 overall pick and the fact that Moss and Porter both want out of Oakland really badly and suddenly it's a good deal for Oakland.

I would like to see JR go to the Browns and throw the ball so hard that he knocks Winslow (aka Soldier Boy :hihi: ) onto his arrogant little ass!

I also prefer that he not go to Atlanta, Carolina, or Tampa Bay. I hate when our Tigers play for our division rivals.

It would be nice if the Saints could grab Bowe or Landry in the first round. Joe Horn may be gone and they can use any help in the secondary they can get.

This is definitely a legless rumor.

Moss and Porter still have the potential to do great damage if put in the right situation. And add the number 1 pick in the NFL. No way in hell is Vick worth anything close to that. With Oakland's O-line, Vick will get hurt in the preseasn and you will never hear from him again.

Vick didn't have an O-line in Atlanta either. As far as Vick being worth it, maybe he's not....but this may be a case of Oakland trying to get something for those guys before they bolt. They've been talking about cutting disgruntled Porter since the beginning of this season. Everyone knows Moss wants out. They wouldn't need the #1 pick anymore if they acquired Vick so it works. I hope this does go down. I don't want my boy playing in Oaktown. And if it does go down, and Atlanta trades away their newly acquired #1 overall draft pick, then he can go play somewhere decent and still get picked #1 overall.
