JR close to signing with Raiders now...

    I certainly think the Raiders have erred in their handling of the situation but you have to remember you're hearing just one side of the story.

    I actually heard something different on NFL network.

    They were saying JR's camp was quickly realizing that a full year out of football would greatly reduce his worth. They said his camp initaited the new discussions but supposedly the Raiders are still trying to hold a gun over his head on ther performance clause. We'll see...

    Too bad his crystal ball was on the blink when he decided to go pro. It would be nice to still have him chunking the ball for us.

    NFL network is owned by the NFL. They are the only one reporting that it is Russell's crew admitting fault. Of course they are just trying to protect their own.
