If Edwards hadn't been on the ticket, Bush would've won NC with like 80%. Did they even campaign in North Carolina?? North Carolina and South Carolina are always going to vote republican, how else can you explain how Jesse Helms and Strom Thurman stayed in the senate for so long?

 

Ruined his career? Lost his Senate seat that he would have lost in his re-election anyway?

I thought I would like Edwards. I ended up liking Kerry more than him. I kind of felt bad for Kerry, I'm just glad I don't have to hear Johnboy's annoying voice anymore.

 

Does it matter by what % Bush or anyone won NC?
Those states went Republican regardless, Edwards sure didn't live up to expectations.

What do you mean? What expectations do you think the democratic party had for NC? That they were going to win NC without making an effort to win there just based on the fact that Edwards name was on the ballot?

 

Edwards looked like an absolute idiot during the vice-presidential debate--that ended up being called a "draw" by the media. Please. Dick Cheney schooled him during that debate.

 

Maybe you should actually tune in next time instead of listening to your republican friends because for the first half hour Edwards had Cheney stumbling over words and back-pedaling.

 

Bullsh!t. I watched the entire debate and Cheney did everything but take him over his knee and spank him. It was a total mismatch.
