Seems like everyone is giving our defense props (and deservedly so), but it seems like Chavis is the unsung hero in this whole thing.

John Chavis is a bad mf'er.:tigereye:

And thank you, Tennessee, for firing Fulmer and essentially freeing up the Chief for Miles to swoop in and lock down.

I don't think Chavis or his staff are unsung heroes. Most LSU fans were thrilled to death with his hire and loved his D at Tennessee. His /Les's hires at DL and DB are also outstanding hires. I think this is close to what many expected with such a talented staff and an over flow of stud athletes. I do have one question though. What happened to all the third and Chavis talk from Tennessee fans? I think they got confused by the losses to outstanding Florida offenses and thought it was a failure on Chavis's part. It obviously wasn't.

Should we be worried about someone stealing Chief and making him the Head Chief?

I haven't seen any problems getting off the field on third and long this season. Tennessee fans were predicting doomsday like forecasts for third and longs. I hope he and his staff put down deep roots and stay forever.

Same here TT, we have a great staff, Joe Rob left last year to pad his resume, I can't blame him. Les has been able to keep some very good coaches, many really like working under him. :tigereye:
