    The Associated Press
    BATON ROUGE, La.
Getting into either a men's or women's basketball game at LSU will cost more this year.

The price of a ticket for LSU men's basketball games will increase from $1 to $4 per seat in the newly renovated Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The price of a season ticket in women's basketball will increase from $75 to between $80 and $125 Individual game tickets will increase between $1 and $3 per seat.

A new reduced-price youth ticket will be available for men's gams for $5 per game beginning with the 2005-06 season.

The Pete Maravich Assembly Center is currently undergoing a $5.2 million renovation that will include all new seating, expanded restrooms, improved handicapped accessibility and an improved sound system. The renovation will be complete by the beginning of the 2005-06 season.

"This is a modest increase in our ticket price in order for us to continue to move forward our basketball programs," LSU athletic director Skip Bertman said. "One of our short term goals is to begin a feasibility study for a new basketball practice facility for both our men's and women's basketball teams, and this move is the first step in making that happen."

What the heck is he talking about? I know one program that has moved forward significantly, while the other is stuck in neutral.

Agreed, the womens are definitely ahead of the mens and has had success.
The mens program hasn't been consistant and hasn't had much success lately with the exception of the SEC schedule last year.

Man... I got depressed when I found an old Reveille... April 10, 2000.. A special Commemorative Issue...

Main Headline: "SWEETNESS"... With a picture of Stro blocking a dunk.

"This past season was one of the most successful in school history for both the men's and women's programs at LSU." .....

It's now hanging up in my room...

It seems one program continued to grow.... Can anyone guess which one?

y'all sound so sour it makes me want to puke.

i cant believe how many times brady is bashed in the offseason. cant you bitch about politics or something til football starts?

comparing those two programs is unfair anyway. so much easier develop a great womens bball program than mens. gunter had been underachieving forever. women's bball has much less competition and you get EVERY player for 4 years.
