If some Democrat politician had shouted out "Go Barack, You da Man" would the media have blasted him the way they are blasting Wilson? I think not.

Its disrespectful you can spin it anyway you want to. It was very disrespectful. If it was a republican and someone yelled at him, you wouldnt even made this thread, which is a fail.

Maybe not Bengal B, but be honest.....you know somebody would have started that thread.:yelwink2: But yes, it was disrespectful, and what really stinks about it is that outburst is getting much more attention than Rep. Boustany's official, and well stated, GOP response.

We're one of the few countries in the world (outside of monarchy's) who treat the office of President with respect regardless of who occupies it. Its fine to take your complaints to the airwaves and whatnot but when your President is in your presence you respect that office. Especially a Congressman.

I'm not an Obama fan but Wilson was wrong. He apologized for it and everyone wants to move forward. The liberal media is keeping this story alive after all the players said it was over. I watched the first 10 minutes of The Today Show and Matt Lauer was all over this story like it was federal offense. Now thats an epic fail.

i have no problem with what wilson did except that he was wrong. oh, and he knew he was wrong. he is manipulating the stupid component of the constituency. this is the same guy that said strom thurmond's illegitimate bi-racial daughter should keep quiet and stop smearing her father.

it was disrespectful, but i think too much is being made of this. Who cares what the guy says, anyone ever seen video clips of the Brittish House of Commons. Man, the roast each other in front of everyone else.

its one thing to call out the prez in that way, but another for the outburst itself to be a lie.

i agree, but the dems need to stop throwing hissy fits, and just prove him wrong and send it all over south carolina to try and hurt his re election campaign.

I will make a thread about any topic that interests me. My post wasn't about whether Joe Wilson's comment was or wasn't disrespectful to the president. My post was about how the media would have handled it if the shoe was on the other foot.
