What in the **** are you talking about? Once again, you shoot off at the mouth simply to hear yourself talk. **** you, loser. I did not say a word about the circumstances surrounding Foster's situation. Bottom line, you are one lame SOB. I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT FOSTER STEALING A PURSE. I absolutely despise you. You are a total loser. *********...
There are two types of popularity with FB coaches in bigtime programs. There's popularity with fans and sycophantic journalists and popularity in the offices, coworkers, administration, and people who work with a coach on a day to day basis out of the public eye. Gerry may have been more liked behind the scenes, but it's popularity with fans and sycophantic media types that we see.
Gerry D was well liked when he "brought back the magic" but not on a scale comparable to Nick Saban and he was very disliked when he could no longer "pull a rabbit out of his hat". If he had simply gotten rid of Lou Tepper he may have even bought himself some more time. Glad he didn't, hindsight is 20-20.
The man just could not believe the Lou Tepper was crap for a coach. It cost him and LSU. But in the the long run LSU did come out on top.
I don't know, I think "Ces' bon" is pretty good too!!! DiNardo was ONLY "cool" because he FINALLY cleaned up the crap that Hallman left us, took us to a bowl game--the Independance Bowl at that--and it was ONLY good because he took a team with a rabid fan base to their first bowl game in years...
BB, why would you allude to Collins and his troubles in apartments and assaulting women, and then say... "Same with Foster." Hmmmmmmmm.... Why would you put them both together? I do admit that's why I said what I said...and no, I don't like to hear myself speak, I like defending LSU athletes against what I feel like are unjust accusations about their character, such as the vitriolic ones you are making against me higher up in this thread. If you "meant" something else, then what did you mean? Why mention Foster at all? Especially right after you mention Collins and his problems with assault? Looked to me like you were disparaging him. I defended him. If you weren't, then explain yourself. Otherwise, my criticism stands.
Foster was one of our biggest weapons and he let his team down by getting into trouble and forcing Dinardo's hand. When I said "same with Foster" I meant that he (Dinardo) could not keep the kid out of trouble. Regardless of what the story is or what our opinions are, the fact remains that Foster BROKE THE LAW and was kicked off the team - both Collins and Foster were HUGE losses for that offense. Man to man, I feel Foster's pain in terms of him doing what he felt he had to do, but my point in this thread was that Dinardo lost 2 extraordinarily talented players to discipline problems. You took it upon yourself to interpret things in a way that would allow you to piss off at the mouth. [moderator edit]
I find this very interesting coming from someone who likes to degrade the Basketball team for the same things, sometimes even lesser than that. Why the double standard?
