Fired before the NFL season is even over. Rhule trying to save his own ass. This is a good opportunity. We have a great looking QB coming in, new coaching staff, so it is “aligning”. But Joe doesn’t like to recruit. Maybe the only rub on him.
There are a lot of LSU fans and on this board who credited Brady for 2019 and discounted Ensminger’s contribution. Neither seemed to be as good working alone as when they were working together. But then again, neither had a Joe Burrow after 2019.
I agree. But Joe Brady did bring a mindset that was needed at LSU. He got them thinking outside the box. I would love to have him back.
Ensminger is a super nice guy and an LSU legacy but thats as far as it gets him. The guy worked in/out of the conference for decades and never produced an offense with even half the production level of 19 and largely ignores the fact that Ensminger had the same players in 18 all on his own. Gauging Bradys skill based on a dysfunctional rock bottom Carolina is a reach. There is a reason they fired their prev staff. As others have stated, I think this has more to do with keeping Rhules seat cool.
What's happening in Charlotte ain't Joe Brady's fault. If he's a good fit with Kelly go get him. Only negative, he wants the NFL and will leave at the first opportunity.
