First player to rush for over 1,000 yards and NOT start a single game. :thumb: And when asked in a post game interview as to what he thinks he does well (i.e. running the ball or catching the ball) Addai had his usual workmanlike response: "I think I do all of the little things (that don't get noticed) and do whatever it takes to be productive for my team." Damn! He's one of my favorite Tigers! :thumb:
Saw he was injured in the 4th but I had to leave and couldn't wait to see what happened. Any word on seriousness of the injury ?
Don't think it was anything serious. They interviewed him after the game and I don't recall it being brought up.
Have any of you noticed that Addai's running style has evolved to a very Edgerrin-like style? Call me crazy, but the way he waits for holes to develop (with shoulders square to the line), the hopping to the side, and his diving for the extra 3-5 yards? He did some of this at LSU, of course, but the way he does it just looks a lot like Edgerrin James. Probably most noticeable is him dive falling to get the last few yards. I thought I was just seeing things a few times this year. But today, he really looked like a more powerful James, with just a little less quickness. SO, I'm wondering if the Colts' RB coach is the same?? If Addai keeps this up, he's going to be one of the young star RBs, with Maroney and Steven Jackson.
25 carries 122 yards 0 fumbles. He was great pick for manning's team. I just don't see them winning it all though. They have got to do something with that D. I am wondering if manning is going to go down in history as the next dan fouts (for you young guys: NFL record 4 consecutive league leading seasons, and 51 300 plus games, second behind Marino, no superbowl appearances, played for the charges for 7 years.)
