Nagin is on his way to being the worst elected official in the history of Louisiana...and that's difficult to do.

This guy continues to destroy New Orleans more and more each day.

Here is an article on the subject.
I hope they turn it down and stand for something for once in their lives.
This Obama pork plan will do nothing other than hurt the country in the long run.
Create too much debt for our children and grand children.

Btw: It doesn't surprise me Nagin would be looking for hand outs!

Considering the economic doledrums the state is in, Jindal would be foolish to turn down any stimulus money. I am opposed to the so-called stimulus bill, but whether or not any governor should turn it down is another issue. The money is going to be spent whether Jindal accepts it or not. Considering the fact that we are looking at a two billion dollar deficit next year, I just don't see Jindal - or any governor outside Utah - turning it down.

Me either. He's playing Republican national politics here, of course. I sometimes wonder whether we have a governor at all anymore. This one is looking ahead to bigger things, clearly.

I don't know what all the money in question is for, but it won't be for the budget shortfall unless it was allocated for an unfunded budgeted project it won't shorten the gap. We could get 3 billion and still have a 2 billion dollar hole.

That's correct. I don't know who the money will be allocated, but any money coming into the state will be helpful regardless of how it is spent. It would be hard for him to justify turning it down.

So, what's wrong with a governor looking at a higher office? But I do believe he needs to spend more time in the state.
