He reminds me of jamarcus, wonderful at times, puke at others. We've got to stop playing sooooo conservative on a lead. I know we need to play ball control when we're ahead, but man the second series when they KNEW we were going to run Addia, the play calling stunk. We have to let our Defensive guys rest longer than 3 and out. Miles needs to have that long talk with his coaching staff.

Jimbo did NOT sit on the lead. MILES sat on the lead. Jimbo is calling plays according to MILES strategy.

Dude, that was a game we should have won and I'm not making excuses for anybody...but...you've got to put up your $19.95 if you are going to continue to b*tch in every thread.

Now we are getting to the bottom of it. We win as a team and we lose as a team. Last night we stunk up the feild in the 2nd half as a team. However; The blame does fall more on some people than others. The defensive sucked in the second half, but they aren't the goat for this game. The D baddly needed a rest and the O couldn't deliver. We showed ZERO initiative in the second half on offence. Where was the playaction? Tennessee KNEW we were going to run on 1st and second. Yes we passed some, but we didn't even bother to disquise it any. JR was in a funk, but he has shown time and time again that he gets it done in the clutch. If JR didn't get it done it was becuase Miles and Jimbo didn't allow him to. I don't care how bad he was playing. With 2 minutes left in the game JR should have been using the playaction, screen, or something. We didn'tput the ball in the hands of our playmaker (yes Addai is one of our playmakers, but even he can't do anything when UT is stacking 8 in the box) and allow him to win it for us. This loss goes on MIles IMO. He sat on a lead and we paied for it.

I am not ready to give up on him yet, that honor goes to coaches who prove over a number of years that they can't do it. Surprise surprise FT is though. Didn't see that one comeing :dis: . It is amazing how all these chicken littles are calling for tiger nation to give up on our coaching staff and just call it a season. I mean Miles has been bringing us down for years, right? We gave him his chance to bounce back from a loss and readjust his way of managing the game with a lead. Lets just give up on him

To all those that have given up: It was his first SEC game under extreemly odd circumstances. He made some bad coaching decisions and now is when we will see how he reacts after a big loss. Lets wait a while before giving him the Zook treatment. It is hard enough to win in this conference. It is even worse when you are following a legend (in our own eyes at least). Lets prove that we are the class of the SEC and support our coach (even if we don't suport his performance in his FIRST SEC game). Lets not take the road of UF fans or ND fans, lets take our own road. If after a year or two he shows no signs of adjusting and we are paying for it in the loss collumn, then we rebel. For now, Les is a Tiger above all else. Loyalty comes first.

BTW. I am not saying we should accept mediocrety or that we should not critisize the way we played last night. I just think that SOME people here are taking their disapointment too far. I realize that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but to say that we should just give up and withdraw our support for our coasch after his first loss is a bit assinine.

I could be wrong but it seemed like we sat on the lead at times under NS.
2003 for instance, IMO we could've flat out beaten some teams worse.
If not it was a tendency to "relax" the second half?

I don't know, just seemed that way at times.
With a great defense you can afford to do that but with our defense these
days you have to outscore the opposition.
Perfect example the ASU game, that was a miracle for us to win looking
    back.

One loss. Count em'. Not 4, not 5, O-N-E. It was a bad loss and we have reason to be concerned. Your type of comments are a bit overreactive though. The season is not yet lost. Beleive it or not we haven't played the other games yet. Who says we won't win out and go to Atlanta. We didn't lose to a SEC west team. Auburn and Bama are the only ones even cabable (other than us) of winning the west and we play them both. Why is it so incomprehensible that Miles will adust and learn from his mistakes so far? The season isn't over. The games haven't all been played and decided yet. Have faith. Change happens. Things don't always start the way they finish. In fact, they rarley ever do.

I disagree. Jimbo is doing what he is told to do. The times when Saban turned Jimbo loose, we winged it all over the field.
