I've yet to read that statement, but you may have. I have however read that USC would have lost at least one game by now if they played in the SEC, and I can't disagree with that. Personally, I think Reggie Bush is one the greatest college backs of all time and that would stand even if he played in the SEC. How can one deny his talent? Agreed.
He's not even the G.O.A.T at his own school, much less in NCAA history. I'm not denying his talent. I think he'd still be a heisman candidate in the SEC. But defenses here are alot tougher than those USC faces and I'm not sure he puts up the same type of numbers. Only exception is during returns. He is amazing when returning kicks and that would play in any conference.
I agree. Someone needs to jump on the offense big time (like what Kyle Williams did to the defense), or even put them to some shame that they are not performing to the levels they are capable of, and rely on the defense to bail them out. They need to have more fire instead of being lethargic and complaisant:angryfire :angryfire :angryfire I really believe they (the offense)can beat or hang with any team if they want to . ________ Lamborghini Espada History
Here's my two cents worth: LSU is 10-1, only the fourth time in the 112 years of LSU football that the Tigers have won 10 games in a regular season. LSU is in the title game for the third time in five seasons and has a chance to win 12 games, which only the 2003 team won more games, and that was because it played a 12-game regular season. Most preseason publications had LSU in its Top 10, well the Tigers have finished the regular season ranked #3. Les Miles is the first LSU coach to have beaten Auburn (9-2), Alabama (9-2), Florida (8-3) in the same season, and has the chance to add Georgia (9-2) to that list. For of those of you complaining that's a combined 35-9!!!! Even if LSU had won the Tennessee game the Tigers would likely have only been as high as #3 in the BCS, one spot in front of where they are now. AND OH BY THE WAY ALL YOU NAYSAYERS....LES MILES, THE STAFF AND PLAYERS ACCOMPLISHED ALL OF THIS WHILE DEALING WITH THE FALLOUT FROM THE WORST NATIONAL DISASTER IN OUR NATION'S HISTORY! FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER HURRICANE A COUPLE OF WEEK'S AFTER THAT DECIMATING THE WESTERN SIDE OF THE STATE. After reading these points you are still bitching about Les Miles, Jimbo Fisher, JaMarcus Russell...etc., then there is absolutely no pleasing you. You're just going to bitch about everything because that's the only way you know how to be happy.
balanced? Yes cut-throat? No Killer Instinct? - NO I used to think Saban was holding our offense back. This year under Miles, our offense is basically the same. Now, I see your point about not having the "best" players. This has really shown this year in one place - our offensive line. Although these guys have been around awhile, they aren't great players (IMO). Now yes I realize we are #3 in the country. But w/that ranking, we should have respect from writers and media - and I don't think we have it. The BCS is decided on whatever GameDay analysts propose. I'd love to see a West Coast offense - why? It's fun to watch. How many times do you hear grunts and groans over LSU playcalling? Anyway, just my opinions...
