I really do not understand the playcall at the beginning of the game. We get the ball at the 50 and go 3 & out.. I mean was he expecting to just be right back in this situation again a defense like Auburn? Well, man was I excited when we got the ball at the 30... woohoo... get at least 3 points up early on this tough Auburn defense. But after a bad call on the no-catch of Hester Auburn gets the ball back and 0 points for the LSU offense.... HELL YEAH! INTERCEPTION WE'RE AT THE 29 YARD LINE! 4 plays later..... out of FG range and are forced to punt.... This just has me wondering what Jimbo's gameplan was? With all the weapons we have on this football team he continued to run it up the gut. This just pissed me off.... Was he expecting to have this great of field position all night? Certainly not...

    Comments please....

Did you happen to notice that Auburn is the best defense we have played in many years? Did you also notice that Jimbo's offense outgained Auburn's offense 308-181 yards.

The run wasn't working but we have to try it and be balanced, which we were. Jimbo knows what he is doing--we have averaged 10 wins a season since Jimbo has been here.

Look, I just don't understand why he didnt open it up immediately after getting the ball in such great field postion. The plays we ran would have been great if we were at our own 20 yard line... but when you're at mid-field early against a great defense you HAVE to capitalize on that; and Jimbo didn't do that on three posessions that were gifts from Auburn.

It seemed to me like the receivers were getting open over the top and the ball was going to the shorter routes. which is fine early in the game if your trying to get your QB in rythm, but you can't wait until the last minute (literally) to start trying deeper throws. The O line studded up protecting JR, unless I'm mistaken he may have been "sacked" twice at most. What the flip happened to Hester in the second half?
