Sure. He'd be an All-American and a Heisman candidate with his off-the-field troubles another year behind him. He could improve from a 3rd-round pick to a 1st-round pick which is worth $millions. BUT, he'd have to weigh that against possible career-ending injury and no cigar at all. Tough call.
Well, he's been rated a 2nd or 3rd, but I'll bet he'll be one of those movers when we get close to the draft day. The only thing against that is that a lot of teams won't even target a RB in the 1st. I don't think his off the field issues will actually affect his draft status once they look at the film on him. I don't think, personally, that he will last to the 3rd, however.
Joe Shad reporting Turner is gone too. Figured once he signed up with the pre draft training group he was done.
Obviously putting guys in the league is a big selling point for LSU but Miles has got to make it a priority to stop losing so many so early. Too many guys are jumping ship too early when it's not even in their own best interest to do so. People don't begrudge someone taking the money and making the most of their opportunity when it's appropriate but there are too many guys that are leaving as juniors and it's hurting them and LSU in the process. Miles needs to do something about it.
