Yeah ... bullwhip ... WHITE NEVER GETS TOUCHED ... PER YOUR PULP FICTION ... nevermind the words of others or even White himself.

Why is that? Is he on your wall wearing a HALO.

We love your junkyard dawg mentality and ~D~E~N~I~A~L~ ...

We've had hundreds of 'em in here ... barking and yapping it up all season long.

They were gonna shred LSU's pass defense too. We've had Manning and Greene junkyard dowgs in here ... both ranked ahead of White in the NFL projections. They were world beaters too.

They ain't too cocky now, bullwhip. And............................

We especially love your game predictions posted here ... below

"OU 31 LSU 3 ... OU has an open wound and Tigers are circling... look for them to come out fighting mad! Boomer Sooner!!"

you have dismissed yourself ... from reality.

Our advice to you ... START DRINKING HEAVILY ... Belushi?

Lame? You have got to be kidding. But then you guys don't play the game, thankfully, the players still do.

I realize you find yourself in very unfamiliar circumstances, playing for a national championship, but you have to remember we have won seven of them since 1950, which means we have been there, done that, and with just as excitable and enthusiastic fans as the Tigers.

So, good luck, and enjoy yourselves. I am sure both teams will make us proud.

That's funny, because I have yet to hear one scout admit that he's any more than a very good college QB who has no
future in pro football. This is on a national basis, coming from people who've watched him, and are in the know.

That's not necessarily a knock on him. We have people here who
think Matt Mauck has a future in the NFL, and that's an unrealistic expectation as well.

All I know is that he's a very good college QB and that's what our Tigers have to be concerned with.

LOL@Sooner Leigh...this is from THIS WEEK's SPORTS ILLUSTRATED...

"Heisman Winner Will Be Late Pick"...

This headline is from the "Inside Pro Football" section of the Sports Illustrated.

Inside this article, it speaks about Jason White in PARTICULAR, and his prospects for the NFL...

    Some highlights and direct quotes...

"The draft prospects of Heisman Trophy Winner Jason White are not good. White, the OU quarterback who threw for 40 touchdowns this season, will probably be a second day selection because he's had reconstructive knee surgery on both knees and has below-average mobility and average arm strength."

Hmmmm...Scouts say the only questions are his knees?
Hmmmm...Which scouts told you he throws a beautiful deep ball?

Since when has the prevalent offensive scheme used by a majority of NFL offenses (ie-The West Coast Offense) been an offense where the premium came on immobile, average armed quarterbacks who "allegedly" throw a pretty deep ball?

Cover 2 defenses like the one Monte Kiffin implements (though not with so much success this year) are the norm in the NFL, and they're predicated on not giving up anything deep, which relegates your alleged "strength" of White on the next level to be next to irrelavant...

Your quarterback had a good year. He benefitted from some programs in flux, like that of Alabama, Nebraska, and Texas A&M, each of which are going through serious changes and/or turmoil in their coaching staffs.

You had trouble with an Alabama team that we were NEVER troubled over, and you had a scare against Chris Fowler's alma-mater, that of Colorado...

Your quarterback's a joke of a pro prospect, though he has had a superior season on this level.

He'll have 15 more minutes next year, but after that, his professional career arc will look like this...

Undrafted free agent...signed to practice squad....Cut....Hired as a GA for the 2005 season by OU....Quarterbacks Coach at a Sunbelt Conference School and/or Head Coach of a 4A Texas High School by 2008...

Great future...But, I wonder...Does his daddy still have that manual labor shoveling job available? I hear that it's not that hard on the knees...

Well, we all know that Sports Illustrated is hardly known as a clairvoyant, but let me correct you on one fact you have wrong. We did not play Nebraska this year.

Make fun of Jason all you want. It is his college ability that will be on display in New Orleans. If you win the game, I will be the first Sooner to come here and offer my congratulations. Book it.

SabanFan, you seem to have an excellent grasp of what the game is really all about. Just wish more of your fans were willing to discuss the X's and O's of the upcoming game.
