Bogany Granted Release from Baseball Program

    Release: 01/22/2007

BATON ROUGE -- Sophomore outfielder Jarred Bogany has been granted a release from the LSU baseball program, and he will seek a transfer to another school, coach Paul Mainieri said Monday.

“We wish Jarred well, and we hope he experiences success at the school of his choice,” Mainieri said. “In order to reach the goals we have established for our program, we need to have players who are sincerely committed to enhancing the great tradition of LSU Baseball. We will continue to recruit and develop players who are dedicated to achieving the same goals.”

No really, I dont watch baseball but I wish him the best. But I bet he's done something serious to be released (a.k.a "kicked out") from the team.

bogany was only at LSU as his "stepping stone" to the pros...

winning and losing didn't mean much, as long as he "looked good for the scouts"....

    Paul Mainieri won't tolerate that.

If this is true, then I'm glad Maineri let him go.

i know all coaches make certain exceptions for their star players but i think mainieri missed that memo.

actually, Ive heard since mainieri has been here he has been running them to death and many dont like it. I heard bogany wasnt the hardest working guy (so to speak) but i never thought it was this bad. i thought he was the cf for the next couple of years.

most all star players use college as a stepping stone but in order to get there you have to put in the work.

obviously paulie pulmonary walnuts dont play that.

I'm glad he missed that memo.

After that lifeless sack of potatoes sitting on the end of the bench the last few years Mainieri is a breath of fresh air.
