Does anyone have any information about Jaime's status with the team? Did he really break a teammate's jaw and return to Panama? If so, who got his jaw broken? Will he be returning? Is he still on the team? If anyone is knowlegeable about the details of Jaime's predicament, please respond.
considering Jaime is/was going to be the premier big man in the SEC this season, this would be a devastating blow to the LSU bball team... i hope this is just a rumor b/c i haven't heard anything
I am friends with a LSU b-ball player and I was told Jaime punched Paul Wolfert during parctice, knocked out his teeth and broke his jaw. I don't know what consequences he wll be facing though.
)@*# I hope none of this is true. Where's the national media story? They seem to report every riff in every program, including small ass schools like Alabama State. Surely this would be paper worthy, especially in the New Orleans-Baton Rouge areas.
from lsusports.net, http://www.lsusports.net/article.cfm?ref=000A6FA6-8015-1F3A-860480D1FCB70145 looks like jaime is still on the team from what brady is saying
Sh!t!!!! :cuss:That would suck. It seems that everytime you turn around the Basketball team is getting screwed...or screwing themselves.:dis:
This story surfaced here a week ago (see page 8) and no confirmation ever followed. My comment: You get laps for swinging at a teammate. You get suspended for connecting. You have to punch a coach to get dismissed. Sounds like a rumor. Altercations between teammates do not usually result in a dismissal.
According to the TV news tonight Jaime did break the jaw of Paul Wolfert, a walkon. According to the report Coach Brady imposed what was termed disciplinary action including attending anger management classes on Jaime. No report of him being dismissed from the team. If you recall he was suspended for one game last season after elbowing a Florida player. Seems like he has a problem with anger management. Too bad because he will be counted on this year heavily.
According to KTBS-tv in Shreveport Jamie is back in his native Panama but they could not state if he had been dismissed. It is possible that he is back home to spend time with his family before school starts.
You know, it's fun having a winning team - we're all for that. Its even more fun when you have a team you can be proud of. I have been proud of the effort put forth by our Basketball team the last few years - BUT - Lloreda elbowing the Florida player last year was nothing to be proud of. Going after a teammate is a real "loser move" I hope Brady makes an example of him with an appropriate suspension.
