battling for #2 spot in SD. still a dependable contributor in the NFL it seems, what do you think his chances are?
He is not really battling for the number two spot, is he? I'd say he is battling to be Neal's replacement at fullback.
maybe, but 49 yards on 13 carries and 2 TDS. Seems more like they're trying to figure out more than if he can block. I could be wrong though, haven't been keeping up with the chargers camp. don't know his role on ST and if that would outweigh Darren Sproles value as a returner. But then again we know JH and if they asked him to play safety he would be game, and excell at that
ok just did some looking on a chargers board. It seems they have him lining up at both FB and TB. Seem to be using his strengths, have him going out to the flats and motioning out to the slot. Seems hes taken over the starting FB spot with Neal gone. Wow, I just got a lil scared since the Saints play the bolts this season. LT and JH in the backfield at the same time, could be deadly.
having a knack for finding the end zone will go a long way for the coaching staff finding a way to get him on the field. great downhill runner, i'm not surprised at all. congrats and continued success!
The Chargers used him last night just like Crowton used him at LSU. I think he'll be a hybrid, not a FB. He'll spell LD and they'll also have a package that utlilzes his strengths. Last night he looked fabulous while I was watching, the first drive of the second half was basically the Hester show as he ran and caught passes for most of the yards and bowled over a DB after making another miss.

The 3rd QTR play where he bowled over the Cowboy DB was a thing of beauty. The DB tried to tackle him high. JH just put his hand on the guys earhole and took him for a 3 yd ride before throwing him on the ground. About an 18 yd pickup on that play.
