There is no doubt that he would at the very least consider coming to LSU. He has said that LSU is one of the only places he would leave JAX for. He knows what LSU is football is all about and he has lots of family here. He is a Louisiana guy and we would be fools not to jump on an established NFL Head Coach.

Del Rio has done a fantastic job at Jacksonville. I don't think too many LSU fans would complain about him being LSU's next coach. Chance of that happening is near 0, however.

He also seems to be a defensive guru and I'd rather a defensive coach than an offensive coach. The more I read about him, the more I like him as a coach. Here is his bio...

He will listen. My Parents know people in the extended family and they said he has always said that LSU is one of the only places he would leave JAX for. He should at least be our first phone call. I know on the surface it seems strange for a guy like him to want to take a college job, but he is a Louisiana guy and he gets what LSU Football is about.

Yes agreed about the defense. And that's what we need to get, a defensive mind.

Agree, Del Rio would be awesome. I wasn't aware he would consider leaving Jax.

Did you know that Jim Bates was an assistant coach with the Browns the same time as Nick?

I am not convinced he would consider leaving Jacksonville.

That's just speculation, no matter what he has said in the past.

Makes no sense on his part to leave what is obviously a bright future for this NFL team.

I tend to agree. I'm not sure what his current contract is, but he would probably have to take a pay cut to make the move. I would love to have him as well, but not too many people out there look at less money as a better opportunity.
