Taking every weekend off is different than taking a summer trip to see your grandmother with your family. I haven't noticed this, but I haven't been listening to either speak recently. Better than the last 2 elections. Anyway, when CEOs make many times more money than the president and are under much less public scrutiny and pressure, expect many qualified individuals to pass on seeking public office.
Where in the article was McCain criticized for not being in a certain place when Georgia was invaded? That may or may not be true. But the thing is that Obama at least seems to be a lot more genuine. He may not be, but in the world of politics, all you need is an image. That's why Clinton was such a great politician. And it's why Bush is such a horrible one. He talks to people like they're stupid...but only because he is. I'd like to point out that I don't actually think that McCain is as dumb as Bush is. But he's got that same cavalier attitude that has alienated us from the global community in recent years, and I really don't want to deal with that for another 4 years.
