Yeah, I'm getting my boxers in a bunch over the Trev Alberts of the world calling the Rose Bowl the "true National Championship" and such. Fact is they'd be screeching about LSU not being legit anyways this week, so it's not really a surprise. OU takes care of business in Kansas City and we edge USC in the final BCS, Jim Rome and his kind go into coniptions anyways. Why hate OU? Simple: if they had won on Saturday, everyone would still see them as this mighty "greatest team of all time" kind of entity and any sort of "stain" we had going into the game by our doubters would be washed away with an LSU win. Now we get a wounded team that was exposed who, if we beat them, the SC crowd can say we did so in part because of our "home field advantage". Are LSU fans all just born under a bad sign or what?
Don't fret........ When USC gets waxed by Michigan, all of Trev's bantering will cease and he'll go crawl back into the slime pit from whence he came. He's been WRONG all year and will continue to be because he KNOWS NOTHING about college football. USC hasn't played a schedule that has prepared them to play ANY decent team. Further, crap teams have put up yards and points against them. Look for Michigan to take them to the woodshed. If USC is so great as the writers are suggesting, then (1) why did they lose to LOWLY Cal, and (2) why shouldn't the odds makers make them a double digit favorite over the No. 4 team? I haven't seen the odds, but if USC is favored by even a point, I'm putting some good money on the Wolverines.
He ended his chat by saying he's on a year-to-year basis with ESPN. I would beat ESPN keeps him there dispite his ignorance.
