its how many yards per attempt which shows the effectiveness of a running game or a particular back.

after looking at conference stats with 30 rushes being a minimum I set, Charles Scott is 6.1 per carry and 3rd in the conference overall. anything over 4.5 is excellent though its almost impossible to maintain his current average once his carries move towards 100+.

So while everyone is rightfully worried about runblocking, Mr. Scott may prove to be more than effective than we think when called upon.

Deshawn Wynn is 8th @ 5.5 with twice as many carries so let's hope he gets to sit out this game. Well, he may hope he sat it out once its over.

if only we'd have run him against AU we'd have a better idea where we stand with scott. Im guessing he will effective enough against UF to get the W.

should be a good one. can't wait.

I still really like Hester. He's not the break away back that some of the others can be but he's a work horse. He also gives us benefits outside of straight running. He has great hands which give us that swing pass outlet not to mention he's a good blocker. Miles and co saw something in him in the practice and I think he knows his guys. I know a lot of you think Miles is an idiot but he's not. I'll admit that I don't always agree with his offensive play calling but I think he's a damn good judge of talent. I honestly believe he gets the best players we have on the field.

hester is not our best runner and not even the best blocking fullback. shawn jordan is.

hester, however, is the most versatile of all the backs and is good on special teams. you need a guy like him to do the dirty work and the swing passes are most effective to him. Less hester running, more passes I say if pressure dictates it.

otherwise get the ball in the hands of the gamebreakers. that aint him.

I think he's gonna be one of the great ones for us. He's got excellent judgement and vision for his level of experience in college and it will only get better and more refined.

The bulk of Scott's yards came against ULL, Arizona, & Tulane. He had 12 carries for 27 yards against MSU.

Here's hoping he hits the 6.1 average against the Gators with 20 carries.

yes but it was still with the same 0-line that had 21 total rushing yards against USL at halftime. meaning, he's been quite effective when no other back has been. i'll settle for 4.5 avg though, on 20 carries this saturday.

whats the latest on wynn? any announcement or is urban like les with area 51 encrypted speak?

Hell, I'd settle for 4.0 with 3 TDs

Haven't read any updates on Wynn. They were supposed to announce the results of the MRI today. Everything I've read suggests a sprain rather a tear.
