IMO. If the announcement is Saturday, then he leaves (tells the players fiirst). If a press conference is called for tomorrow, I think he stays (doesn't need to tell the players first).

  2. good points. it is possible that he just doesnt make up his mind till christmas but i agree with your logic.

I still say it comes down to WHO calls the press conference. If the Miami Dolphins get their man, no way they let Saban announce it.

If LSU is calling the conference, then it should be to announce Saban is staying.

You haven't learned by now that Saban gets his way?

I think he will say something before he leaves for Orlando. IMO once he is in Florida with the team he will want to focus on their game and not his situation.

Do you not think that he will, at this point, want the players to hear from him that he is staying?

No it doesn't matter much if he tells them he is staying or they just hear it through the media.
Might be a nice touch but not near as important as telling them to their face that he is leaving. He knows the sooner he announces the better for everyone.

I think he'll tell his team, and then get on a chartered plane for Miami (if he accepts the job).

    Simple as that.

Nick has too much class to crap on everyone's

Holiday with an announcement he's going to Miami ...

If he announces by Christmas Day, it'll be to stay at LSU for sure (you're right)

Delay of the announcement past X-mas is not good for LSU ... unless Sexton is trying to squeeze more green from LSU

Hey, Santa ... all I want for X-mas is ...
