There were a lot of mistakes but on that last drive when it counted they made a great drive to beat em. It couldnt have happenned any better now that i think of it. Tenn. is gonna think about this day as the one that took em out of the sec champ game. I love it. Take Hurricane Katrina and shove it up your UIHIYBPIH fat phil.
Revenge is sweet, for last year. We really owed them. It was a hard fought game, in hostile conditions, and a quality win for the TIGERS!! :geauxtige
I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I never felt comfortable the whole game even though we seemed to dominate at times. We were our own worst enemy.
I was just looking at the game statistics and I had to look at two different web sites to confirm what I was seeing. Our time of possession was 41 minutes compared to the Vols 19. I knew we had an advantage, but I was shocked to see that it was more than a 2 to 1 advantage.
A great victory but I have not heard form al the Russell/Miles haters yet. Russell made a couple of mistakes but showed heart and a cool head. Even though our "awesome" receivers kept dropping wide open passes and our O line hiccuped, he got the job done. And what about Les? Anyone complaining about his coaching today? And did he look/sound fired up?? Hopefully this will back some fans off and give our boys and the coach credit for a fantastic and tough win. LSU!:helmet::lsup:
Today, we saw some of the things in Miles that we've been looking for. Emotion, heart, that killer instinct. He has never really gotten fired up yet as our coach. Tonight he did and it paid off. I hope he learned something. Tonight he finally gave up on JV being a featture back, it paid off. I hope he learned something. Tonight, he didn't stubbornly run the ball up the gut when we needed points. It paid offl. I hope he learned something. I have never really been a miles basher, or backer. I was in the "give him time to make it his team before grading him" group. I like the Les Miles we saw tonight. The players did make some mistakes, but for the most part, I liked the game plan. We dominated time of possession, and our D only gave up 2 TDs. Both of which were deep balls that our guys had really good coverage on, just the pass was thrown to the right spot where our Dbs couldn't quite reach it.
