Hmmmmmm.... ...the old "unlucky purple jersey" rumour has arisen its head again...:dis: ...first started in the '60's... ...looks like it just won't die... BUT...aren't we 3-0 in purple and 2-2 in white this year????
I wish it would die too, I like the purple jerseys. I've said this here before but I wish we would alternate between the white, purple and the gold jerseys. I would always like to keep the vintage looking white uniform and the helmet logo is the best in college football i.m.o. I just like the variety that you see with teams like Miami who have more than two uniforms.
I'd prefer to go easy on this thread. With the seriousness and harshness of the rest of the forum after the game, a nice injection of good humor was badly needed. Thanks Atreus21!
Generally agreed. However, we only got to see the purple maybe once every 3-4 years (and NEVER at TS) in the 60's & '70's due to the voodoo attributed to them. I wouldn't want to see those days return. The purple is cool. :thumb:
Just for debate . . . we are nothing like Miami. Here we have tradiation, something Miami doesn't really have. They contracted Nike to re-design their unis for about the 5th time in a decade this season, I don't think LSU will gain any real benifit from trying to become more like Miami. This new jersey thing is just a fad, we've seen plenty of them through the years. Miami seems to jump on every last one, and that is fine for their fans. Our programs has a little more class than to fall for every stylish fad that comes along. That said, I hate to think fans feel jersey color has some kind of curse attached to it. Personally I like the home whites and think we should only use white . . . unless we are the home team in another stadium. It's boring, but I like it. Of course that is just my opinion.
Remember a few years back when you did not know what the hell LSU would wear that night. I like the Tradition better also.
