If we win the NC or play in the NC his stock value will never be higher. Having said that if we do extend his contract and we effectively avoid him going to Michigan he has some work to do.

We lose a lot of seniors this year and next year will probably be a rebuiling year (9-3) or so...haha.

Should we are shouldn't we extend CLM?

We definitely should. In order for a program to stay successful, you need to have that continuity. Now if we could just find a way to do that with good assistant coaches too!!

what would that make you wonder if we should resign him. with what miles has done so far, there is NO reason not to resign him. LSU will offer him whatever he wants.

as far as next year being a rebuilding year..... if you wanna call a 10 win season rebuilding? The D will drop off some, but the O should do nothing but get better than this year. The worst thing we have going aginst us next year is that awsome even year road schedule.

And '09. Whew.. :crystal: :crystal: worthy!! :thumb:

One thing I've heard from multiple people about Les at Michigan is he would have to take a paycut to go there. Something about the state having control over salaries and Michigan wouldn't be able to put up that kind of money.

If next year is going to be a "rebuilding" year, then whats this year??? I mean, we lost a lot last year and we haven't missed a beat! There's only a handful of schools that can lose what we lost last year and not only stay the same, but somehow get better.

Like LVTGRFN said, we don't rebuild, we reload!!!!

Uh, so what's your point? Another coach could gain an extra year of eligibility for all the seniors we're losing?

Why would we not extend his contract?

Next year's offense should be very, very good. Our defense will be the question mark for a change.

If Miles leaves LSU (and I do not think he will), it will be because HE wants to, not because of a contract issue. He will not leave LSU because of the "money." If we win the NC, he will get plenty of money. If he leaves for the UM job, it will be because that is where his heart is. IMO, his heart is at LSU now, and I hope he does not have a "change of heart."

If the question is do we re sign him, of course, he's winning 87% of his games, recruiting great, hiring great assitants and managing the players well. He's done very little so far to even critcize him for.

This thread must be sarcastic in nature. Right?

Rebuilding? Come on now, rebuilding??

Typical tough even-year schedule, but talent and depth shouldn't be an issue at all.

I felt the exact same way until I watched Ryan play. He's the real deal.
