Allright, I'll bite. Does anyone think Spurrier is interested in the LSU job? I have heard he has not yet signed the SC contract. I read on the Nola live LSU football forum that someone said on WJBO that Spurrier had hired a lawyer and real estate agent in Baton Rouge, another post said he would interview tomorrow. Yeah, I know, that forum is notoriously goofy and many of the posters are cretins. The posts I just referenced weren't particularly trustworthy, but, did not appear to be blatant goofs on their face. That's why I thought I'd ask the folks on this forum. I have to admit that I despised Spurrier while he coached at Florida, but, would love to have him as our coach. Is there a snowball's chance in hell he would renege on his commitment to So. Carolina, and, the Ole Ball Coach would agree to coach The Ole War Skule? Would LSU want him? I would think so.

Pipe dream. Need to spend time looking at real candidates instead.

Pipe dream, we don't have Augusta National 45 min. away and we have to high of expectation for him.

In my opinion, he's probably wishing he'd have waited to see all the choices he'd have...I'm thinking he'd have taken LSU over SC if he'd known.

And yes...I despised him, too. And yes, I'd want him as coach.

I couldn't stand having him as a coach, so I hope he is a pipe dream. He may be good, but I have too much built up resentment.

If we are going to go with an offensive coach we should go with Petrino.

He could be one of the "big names" Skip was referring to. He did say that we'd be surprised at who's interested. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if they were talking behind the scenes.

....and yes I would love to have Spurrier! :geaux:

I'll say this...if Spurrier was interested in the job, we would never know it. The contact between his agent and LSU would be uber secret, so we'll never know if he was interested unless he is hired.

If that contract isn't signed ... there's hope

LSU with the hated Steve Spurrier ... imagine that

Man, we'd recruit lights out ... and own the SEC

LSU couldn't be lucky enough to get this guy.

English Turn is about 45 minutes from Baton Rouge ... in your Ferrari

It's not Augusta ... but it's not too shabby (I've played 'em both  and know of what I speak)

Spurrier at LSU ... imagine that ... :hihi:
