I'd be surprised if they were going to make it on such short notice. I was there when we didn't go to the UA game (not that the team needed us). But there's no telling. It's really up to the athletic dept.
As of now, the band department has not contacted the entire band to inform them of the possibilities. After practice, they should tell us whether any, all, or none of the band will be traveling. I do know that back in 03 when we went to Arizona the main reason the band did not travel was because we were saving money for new band uniforms. Having these uniforms now, I'd hope that the athletic department will pay for at least a small band to travel out there. FYI, the band travels in 3 sizes: 45 members for a flying, pep band trip, 100 members for a pep band, bus trip, and 300+ for the full band trip <Vanderbilt this year>, SEC Championship, and bowl game. Of course, with the extenuating circumstances of the storm, all these previous numbers could be thrown out the window. I'll report back here when I have more info or maybe one of the other, more regular Tiger Band posters might know something I don't.
