I don't think the sportswriters can even remember what happened last night let along Thursday night. It is magnified in MY mind but I doubt the pollsters.:geauxtige
Absolutely, what a difference. We were suspect, but now with the Michigan fiasco and VT scraping by EC, the LSU performance is gettin much more respect.
I was initially impresed by UF when I saw Tebow w/ 300 yards. But when that's done with only a dozen completions, its more a factor of SEC speed over inferior opponents and not necessarily an indication of how good UF is.
Yes, I think so. Games must always be viewed in context of both the oppontent and the games played by other ranked teams. If MSU has a half way decent season, our win looks even more impressive. Michigan's loss might look better if -- for example -- App State upsets a few more "big" schools this season (have no idea who else they play, and I doubt anything will make this loss ok for Michigan fans, just an example). Not every sportswriter will pay attention, but some will. I hope some of the performances today make our fans a little happier with our win on Thursday. The first thing I though of after I saw the Michigan/App State score (and after I cleaned my glasses) was that I hope some of the people who were a bit disappointed after our win rethought things. I'm still shocked about Michigan. I'm afraid to visit any of their boards, they might just melt my laptop.
I actually agree with that statement. If they run the table, and they can, they can still see a BCS bowl.
The only thing it helped was the fact that we played on a different night so even if we are a handwritten footnote on a peice of paper we will stand alone. Had we played tonight it would have been lost and not seen by anyone.
