Before I get negative feedback, let me prefice this by saying I have been an LSU fan all my life. Owned season tickets since Saban came to LSU. Love LSU.

I don't know if it's just me or what, but this LSU team doesn't seem to show the class and sportsmanship on the field that our team did last year. Ronnie Prude has been talking trash since the first game against ASU. I hate to say it but Saban whould never allow trash talking like that. I noticed the ESPN announcers mentioned indivisual acts which he didn't agree with. Possible he sees the same thing I see. All I'm saying is LSU is better than acting like the Miami's of the world.

It's tough to tell what goes on down there on the field. For all we know, the other teams are talking trash about these guys friends dying in the hurricanes - in that instance, could you really blame them for not being classy?

But I think it's foolish for you to believe that this didn't happen under Saban...

Here we go again. Guess you haven't been paying close attention and it is probably hard to see when at a game. But if you have watched any of the games on TV the past 5 years you've had to see it, I know I have. Chad Lavalais may have been the kind of trash talkers(they said his mouth never stopped from the first play till the last), Marquise Hill & Laron Landry are members of his court. It's the wave of the present and the future.

These guys start doing it in sandlot, pewee & church league games and don't stop.

LSU1, I do agree with you that things seem a little different on the field this year. Daniels, Prude, & Landry certainly trash talk quite a bit now for sure. I am not certain this is a bad thing though because so much of football is mental. I kinda rather see them able to get under the skin of offensive players. Ya know, if they are getting hit hard AND they thing the defensive guys are crazy, then that is a great thing. :)

Also gets them coverage on the media outlets, which doesn't help.

Saban did his share of trash talking ... of course, his was directed at his own players and coaches.

I haven't seen any displays of unsportsmanship on the field from this team.

Maybe the teams could have a post-game tea party and resolve their issues over scones and cream tea.

I wasn't sure if it was just me seeing more of this or not. It really only bothers me when we get a penalty but it seems like there are some times when it goes a little to close to getting us one. AS long as they can keep their cool when it comes to us getting personal fouls then it doesn't bother me.

Of course there are differences. The problem is that people perfectualize Saban in their mind & I merely point out that Saban had some of the same "flaws" as Miles. This instance apparently being one of them because players did talk trash under Saban. I could see them with my own two eyes & I'm not the only one who noticed as shown by others here agreeing. Did Saban have more control over his players? I'd have to say yes. Does that mean that they were saints? Of course, the answer is no.

Trash talking is pretty much a standard these days, so all in all i'd say they are a class act ( or close enough ) on the field.

More importantly they are a class act off of the field which speaks volumes about being a "class act" in my opinion. Reference all the stories of housing hurricane victims, taking time to donate old items to the needy, etc etc.

Also you never hear stories ( at least none come to mind at the present moment ) about so and so being arrested for whatever charge.
