Big school that doesnt have to share athletes with other state schools (Ala. & Aub, Ole Miss & MSU, OU & OSU)? I was just curious. La has so many football prospects every year and basically Saban is hand picking them. I cant think of any big universities like this.

Finding the answer to my own question: Tennessee, Nebraska

We do however have so much more talent than these states.

The top 10 states with Division 1 signees ... Cal, Tex, Fla, Ohio, LA, GA ... all have numerous division 1 schools ... even Louisiana.

    La. Tech, ULM, TULAME

Ohio has six ... I believe ... Ohio State, Cincinnati (CUSA), Akron & about 4 others in the MAC ...

Now, if you are talking ...

Division 1 MAJOR College FB PROGRAMS (Top 25 Potential) IN "TALENT RICH" STATES ...

TWO LOCATED WITHIN 1 STATE ... Louisiana is alone

    California ........... USC, UCLA, Stanford
    TX....................... TX, TX A&M,
    FL....................... FSU, FL, Miami
    OH...................... Miami (Ohio) & OSU
    GA....................... UGA, GT
LA........................ LSU ... unless you believe in TULAME ... snicker

ad nauseum ... and if you listen to Tom ... I luvs Missussloppi Lemming ... they are the RICHEST ... per capita ... when it's public knowledge that Louisiana is #1 PER CAPITA (pop vs. Div-1 scholly)

    MS........................ Miss, MSU

So, in a nutshell ... there ain't a better environment ... for a "lock" on in-state talent ... though I believe Saban could do in several locations such as Austin, Texas or any of the 3 Florida locations would be the same as he's doing here.

Ohio has OSU, Ohio, Miami (OH), Cincinnati, Akron, and Kent State, Toldeo, and Bowling Green for a total of 8 D1 colleges.

Yes but that hasn't hurt the Buckeyes recruiting any more than having Tulane, USL, USM and Louisiana Tech in Louisiana has hurt LSU's recruiting or having Memphis, Troy State, Vanderbilt and Tennessee-Martin has hurt Tennessee's recruiting. Unlike in the Archer-Hallman-DiNardo days recruits aren't choosing between LSU, USL or Tulane. They are choosing between LSU. Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, Miami, and (put any big time football school here) Saban dosen't recruit players who are not also desired and recruited by the Big Boys.

Yeah guys I meant Major Colleges (BCS conferences), Tulane and LaTech usually just get who LSU doesnt offer. I was just thinking that as long as as we get the top 10-12 players from La which we should we will continue to be a force in recruiting. For example, Alabama and Auburn usually share the top ten to 12 players in the state where as we get them all. Previous coaches have let La kids leave the state and saban is not doing that. It was just something that I thought added to our knew stellar recruiting efforts

Of all these states, I'd say La has the best prospects. Ohio also has a hotbed of athletes, so you can see why LSU and OSU are now both excellent FB programs.
