    I think Sooner's were pioneers who came to Oklahoma for a land grab after the forced eviction of native americans (trail of tears). That's why longhorns refer to them as dirt burglers.

    Hehe, I heard that Texans were the ones leaving Mexico that didn't make it to Oklahoma. Of course the Texans will argue that. OU and UT fans have some great message board fights.

    TigerStripe....interesting about the Sooners ans wagons. Just makes the point that most school's traditions/mascots/war crys/etc., make sense if you understand the background.

    Tuberville allowed his team to come in to Tiger Stadium in '01 and disrespect, the field, team, fans and school. He paid the price then, and will pay it again, if he allows that stuff to continue.
