Considering the tragedy and the primetime lights on this game. Maybe the VT ribbon on the field or handing out small VT pins for everyone entering the game.

Would be a classy move by us and would buy us some equity in the college football landscape seeing as we have the first shot at hosting VT after what happened.

All that said here's to LSU slapping them around between the lines

    LSU 28
    VT 10

The band is playing the VT Alma Mater during Pregame, and I've heard something about people parachuting in the stadium with VT, LSU, and American flags

I hope LSU makes a nice donation to the university. I also hope that some idiot fan/student doesn't do something classless on national tv to embarass us all.

That's a nice touch. Glad to hear it.

Now let's rock n roll. I hope Mike VI scares the goiter right off of Beamers neck!

I think the nicest thing we can do is treat them like every other team that comes in.

    Feed 'em
    Tigerbait 'em
Whoop the snot out of 'em
    Feed 'em

Send 'em home cryin, but talking bout how good the food was.

I've posted here that the VT fans DON'T want to be treated like victims. The continuing memorializations are just a drag. They want to move on.

That said, I hope there won't be too many fans that act like total *********s to visiting VT fans. Be a good sport, rib 'em a little, feed 'em, beat their football team and that's it.

    Geaux Tigers.

(09/06/2007) BY www.LSUsports.net BATON ROUGE -- The LSU football team has released a letter to Tiger fans relating to Saturday’s game against Virginia Tech.
“The Virginia Tech community suffered the horrific loss of family and friends in the tragic shootings of April 16. All of us on college campuses across the nation shared in their grief and suffering.
“As students, fans and alumni from Virginia Tech come to the LSU campus for the Hokies’ first road football game of the 2007 season, we know Tiger fans will welcome them with open arms and sympathetic hearts.
“The people of Louisiana are known for their heart-felt compassion and gracious hospitality, and on this occasion we hope everyone will pay particular respect to the Virginia Tech players and their fans.
“The competition on the field will be healthy and fierce, and your Tigers will represent LSU with pride when the ball is kicked off. But in pre-game festivities, let us all be mindful of the difficult road our visitors have traveled since April 16.”
Signed by Matt Flynn, Glenn Dorsey and Craig Steltz (team captains in last week’s season opener) and head coach Les Miles.

The players and coaches made a quilt to present to Va Tech. They signed it after they made it.

Not making this up. They actually showed several players, such as big Herm, quilting on the news last night.

Here's to VT...I sincerely hope and pray that those affected by the tragedy that befell their university last spring are able to move on with their lives, and I hope their football team is able to help the community and school to do just that.

That said, once the whistle blows, I wanna see more of this.

I hope that the players and coaches realize that we owe them a thorough beating.
